As a Site Manager, you'll be instrumental in managing and leading on site project work from inception to completion. You'll operate with a high degree of independence, tackling complex challenges by identifying creative solutions and proactively addressing potential roadblocks. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and strong stakeholder management to ensure successful project delivery and continuous improvement. You'll be a central figure in coordinating various stakeholders, including trade partners, suppliers, architects, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the project team to determine and execute project needs.
- Coordinate the work of all trade partners to execute on the project plans and specifications.
- Provide 3-week lookahead schedules to the Project Manager for review each week to help with materials procurement and trade partner coordination.
- Plan site logistics and execute construction sequence of work to meet the requirements of the company's high performance construction standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, owners, regulatory entities, clients, trade partners, and vendors.
- Issue and track RFIs.
- Monitor and report on project progress during weekly meetings and through use of daily logs
- Implement safety and quality guidelines to ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly.
- Receive shipments and ensure they are in good condition and are the same quantity as ordered.
- Resolve on-site issues and emergencies.
- Manage and lead the customer experience.
- Assist in resolving issues/conflicts related to daily construction activities.
- Support the pre-construction process by generating estimates for project scope using the project plans, take offs, and project specifications.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience (4+ years preferred) in a project coordination or superintendent role within the construction environment, ideally with exposure to custom home building.
- Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.
- A general knowledge of IRC building codes.
- In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace products (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive).
- Proficiency in Bluebeam.
- Ability to read scale drawings and perform basic takeoffs.
- Strong understanding of high performance building techniques, codes, and products in Colorado, with a particular emphasis on energy efficiency.
- OSHA10 certification, Certified Passive House Tradesperson
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and inspire team members and interact professionally with clients and trade partners.
